Dinner, Lunch, and Detectives

Yesterday I made an entire rack of baby back ribs in my slow cooker - they are excellent!  Today I made a large pot of soup using the liquor from the crock pot as a base for the stock.  My thanks to LB Johnson for the soup recipe.

This is actually a test of my new camera, which features a setting that's designed to compensate for the glare or light reflection that you'll get from a shiny object, such as a stainless steel stock pot.  I guess it works pretty well.

The soup is excellent as always.  It's probably fattening and not all that good for me, but I don't care.  It tastes great, and it can be frozen into single serving freezer bags.

Lunch!  I'd have it for dinner as well, but I have left-over ribs in the fridge.  I think the ribs are going to win.

And now - Happy Hour!
