Last night (Saturday, 8/29/20) I went to see The Blue Cats (FB Page) at Natalie's Coal-Fired Pizza and Live Music with No Facebook Ever Mike. I was lucky to get tickets, as the show sold out five minutes after it was announced.
What a show!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Natalie's and are within driving distance, look them up online, find a performance you'll probably like, and go. The place is excellent! The coal fired pizza isn't anything close to whatever pizza place you've been getting carry-out from - it's real food. They have a full service bar, a good beer selection, and the service is always first rate. The best part about Natalie's is the venue. The owner employed an audio engineer to improve the acoustics, and as a result there are no bad seats at Natalie's, nor are there annoying echos or distortions.
Right now, Natalie's is getting around the COVID-19 crises by cutting the number of tables in half, and selling tickets by the table. When I made my reservations, there were two tables left and the patio outside was full.
The Blue Cats put on an absolutely stellar show. My camera (Nikon Coolpix) is finicky and doesn't do well in all conditions, but here are two pictures of the band that aren't all that bad.

Everyone enjoyed the show, but it seemed so strange to see Natalie's with so few tables. Still, I'm very glad Natalie's is staying open during the COVID crises; many of these jazz/blues places have closed for good.
The Blue Cats are:
- Guitar: Rick Collura
- Bass: Yorke Proctor
- Keyboard: Terry Finneran (keys, vocals, blues harp, flute)
- Drummer: Louis Tsamous
